Information we use
CFOCompass is operated by an individual, not a registered company.
Account details, subscriptions and service activity help us manage your access, billing and account security. We also record the terms you agreed to, the privacy notice you acknowledged and when.
Business records you upload are processed to carry out your instructions, such as analyzing data and preparing reports. A separate data-processing agreement may be needed where applicable.
Files, questions and review notes can contain information about you or other people. Share only information you are authorized to use, and leave out personal details that your analysis does not need.
Your files and results
We use your information to analyze financial data, prepare reports, answer questions and support your review. Results can be stored even if you do not save them to History. Stored results can include a copy of your original uploaded file, not just totals or summaries.
Services we use
Our service providers include Supabase for sign-in and storage, Stripe for payments when enabled, and OpenAI for AI assistance when enabled. CFOCompass keeps subscription details rather than full payment-card numbers.
When AI assistance is enabled, relevant financial information may be sent to the AI provider for analysis explanations, comparison summaries and Ask AI answers. Ask AI also sends your question. Generated text may repeat information from your questions or files and can be stored with results.
Hosting services process requests and may keep security and service logs. Exchange-rate services may receive currency and date requests. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours.
Storage in your browser
Your browser stores sign-in information and your display preference. Closing a tab may not sign you out. Sign out on shared devices and protect any reports you download.
Keeping and deleting information
Saved reports remain in History until you delete them. Deleting the last saved copy of an analysis removes its underlying stored result and clears stored Ask AI answers for your account. Other reports and separately uploaded copies may remain. Unsaved results currently have no automatic expiry.
Usage, billing and agreement records are kept separately for their respective purposes; deleting a report does not remove them. Report deletion is not account deletion and does not guarantee immediate removal from service providers, logs or backups. Downloaded files remain under your control.
Your questions and choices
Email support@cfocompass.ai with privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete personal information. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict use, receive a portable copy or complain to a regulator. We may need to verify your identity and authority.
Acknowledging this policy confirms receipt of the notice. It is not consent to advertising or every possible use of your information.
